GAO Sorority, Inc.'s strong Sisterhood is one of the main reasons that womyn gain interest and join our organization. Our strong sense of sisterhood does not stop past chapter meetings and undergrad. GAO's support system and sisterhood is what continues to keep our bond growing strong.

GAO is an organization that prepares its members to become leaders on campus, in the local community, and in our greek community as well. The variety of functions that we involve ourselves in are opportunities to network, gain experience in leadership skills, and work with others who are also determined to make a difference through community assistance.

GAO is a Community Service based organization. It is through community service, that we learn the importance of giving back to our community, while emerging as role models to others around us.

GAO believes very strongly in Greek Networking and UNITY. Most of our organizations are working towards similiar goals, we believe in supporting each other while striving for those goals.

Although we are not a Social Sorority, we realize that a healthy social experience is an asset to our college careers. For this reason, we plan and participate in a number of social events throughout the school year, internally and externally. Internal events allow our members to spend quality time, and enable us as sisters to strengthen our bonds and friendships with one another without conducting GAO business. External events allow our sisters to celebrate our sisterhood with other organizations that support GAO and also gives others a chance to catch a glimpse of our Tigress Style :)

Socializing is an important part of the college experience. We encourage our members to participate in both internal and external social activities on their campus, while reminding them that academics is their first priority.
